This ride is a round trip of just over 100 miles and approx 2hrs 45 mins total riding time.
From Dobbies we will ride along the A5 nearly to Oswestry, branching off North to Whittington and it's castle. After a wander round the ruins, shop and cafe at the castle we will then go through Ellesmere, Welshampton and Wem to arrive at Sleap Airfield. I am reliably informed that the cafe at the airfield is worth a visit, so we will stay here long enough to watch the comings and goings of the assorted air traffic and have some lunch. From Sleap we will head East (ish) until we meet the A41 where we will turn back towards Wolverhampton through Hinstock and past Newport until we meet the A5 once again. We will then head East along the A5 until we arrive back at Dobbies.
How to recognise the organiser:
We will meet on Dobbies car park just inside the A5 entrance at 10.00 a.m. to leave at 10.45 a.m. I will be on a black Tiger 955i or a green 900 Sprint.
